Even though dragons live nearly four times longer than most humans and dragon kings typically live ten times longer, that time does not stand still for their bonded riders and their loved ones.  Despite the bond’s ability to add longevity to their riders, eventually, even they will succumb to the never-ending sands of time.

With Jake being the first rider to ever father children while bonded to a dragon king, the enhanced physical capabilities passed on to his son, Sammy, now closely rival his own.  Although Sammy has much to learn when it comes to diplomatic affairs of a dragon king, the trajectory of his development suggests even that milestone will soon be well within his grasp.

For nearly four decades, Turbo has been Jake’s and Danni’s constant companion, often to the astonishment of those closest to the Payne family.  In order to prevent undue scrutiny of the pint-sized avatar of the King of Dragon Kings, T’Aer Bolun Dakkar, the time to update and refresh the identity of his emissary in the world of humans, is also at hand, if not long overdue.

Even considering the near invincibility of T’Aer Bolun Dakkar, the importance of an avatar that allows a dragon king to engage in the world of human beings cannot be overstated and should never be underestimated.

Following a long deliberation with Jake, Danni, Sammy and Jewel, a new avatar is revealed, adding an unexpected twist to the already unique and non-traditional family structure of a dragon king who, in any form, will always be… JAKE’S DRAGON!
